I've got another confession to make...

Tue, Jul. 5th, 2005, 09:07 am Errtime
You guys know that Nelly song, Errtime? Well..I found out what "Err" means. See, I thought it was something like "her" or other words that sound like it, but in fact "Err" actually means "every". So, "Errtime" means "everytime". Heh, I don't know what to say to that. Man..I wish I was so rich and famous that I could simplify words to the point that vowels are no longer needed and actually be able to integrate them into society and make MORE money off of a stupid word. Damn I love pop-culture.
Yes, yes it does because I haven't used LJ/put a post in here since before March Break. Which was a hella long time ago. Oh, and Happy Canada Day everyone. Haha, I think I have forgotten every single HTML skill I had, or in general how to use HTML, so yeah, don't expect anything fancy within the next couple of updates until I re-teach myself everything. Well, a lot has happened, but for once I am gonna sum it up real quick: - Graduated, last exam was on the 24th of June, commencement was Wednesday, ceremony was nice and after party was pretty fun. I now like clubs (only if I'm with friends though). - Going to Carleton next year for Forensic Science, gonna be pretty rough but I like science so it shouldn't be too bad. Bagged me a scholarship and some other bursary stuff. - Found out that between the time I was gone and when I came back a hella lot of people found out about LJ. - School year was pretty rough, but I am pretty glad it is over. - Prom was nice, it could have been better but no biggie. Well, I really don't know what else, just dealing with the everyday ups and downs of this thing we call life. Got some good ideas I want to put into motion this summer, like my manga (which I already started with Steve and Mark), and possibly starting a band. Hopefully the lineup I have in mind is willing to try it out, if I ever decide to try to put it into motion. I just really want to use this summer to find myself again, and rekindle my love for certain things like reading and making music and writing and just anything I am interested in. Oh, I was really thinking of changing my layout, it seems pretty boring, and maybe when I get the chance or become bored one day on the computer I'll change it around. Who knows what the future has in store right. Well, that's all I really have to say for now. Later everyone
Sat, Mar. 12th, 2005, 08:09 am Away
Hey guys,
Well, I am gone for March Break from today (Saturday March 12th, 2005) until Thursday (March 17th, 2005), Going to Tremblant with a few friends. Don't try to call or anything to hang out because I won't be home until then. If you guys want to hang out upon my return, call me Thursday (I will be back for Thursday morning), or something. Have a good March Break guys, later. Tue, Jan. 25th, 2005, 03:24 pm Back
Alright, I know it has been quite a while, but I got back from Japan a couple of days ago. I am really busy right now organizing and catching up of stuff, but basically I am back, so hit me up on the email that everyone uses these days, or message me if I ever get online. Or call me. Anyways, until I talk to you or update this thing for real, take care everyone.
Alright, so this past Sunday I went to Osaka for the Nintendo DS World Touch! tour. It was free, and it was awesome. I tried out so many unreleased games and honestly, after looking at the DS first hand and playing around with it, I want one even more. It is funny how North America is getting the DS before Japan, but the games on the DS in North America suck. Ok, here are the following games I tried out: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories(GBA): Awesome, very fun. The card system thing works out pretty well I find and it adds new strategy to fights. Also the leveling up system is new, where when you level up you choose to increase a bonus to either your HP, Card power, or attack power, along with the normal increases of stats. Gundam Seed:Destiny(GBA): Good game, I like gundam, and it was fun. pretty impressive graphics for the GBA The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap(GBA): Great Zelda game, I love how the cap talks to you. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is very smooth. Lots of fun Tales of the World(GBA): Lots of fun. All the characters from past Tales games make apperances, and you can make weird parties, like Lloyd and Sheena from Tales of Symphonia with two characters from other Tales games. But fun Super Mario 64 DS: Very good, of course, it is Mario. Eggmonster Heroes (DS): I really hope we get this game, because it is a lot of fun. Battles are really fun, because you get to drag stuff around the bottom screen and then it shows the close up of the battle on the top screen. It was just lots of fun. (This one is for you Mike) Rockman.EXE 5: Team Proto and Team Colonel: The previews were the same, so there was no difference between them at the beginning, which is what you play. I like the music, and the graphics are better. I do not really like the new battle screen, but as with every other Battle Network game, it was hella fun. Ok, I am running out of time and I want to say other stuff other then just talk about games, so here are the rest of the games I tried out: Bomberman DS, Fire Emblem (GC), Metroid Prime 2 (GC), Dragonball (GBA), I played around with some of the mini-games which are already installed in the DS, and I watched presentations on the touch screen, message writing, and recording messages, etc. Of, and the size of the games are like data chips, and are not even the size of half your finger. Overall, very fun, and I can not wait for some of these games to come out. Anyways, I am really sorry I haven't updated in such a long time guys. It is a lot harder then I thought keeping track of emails and updating and stuff. I am roughly a month because emails and stuff. This is mainly because I have homework from Canada to do online, plus I do not get home from school until around 6:30 usually, so by the time I eat dinner, take a shower, write in my own journal, etc etc, I have no time for anything else. But, Japan is still super hella fun, and I wish I could stay here forever. Japan is so beautiful. You can read about it in books and look at pictures, but nothing compares to when you are actually here. I have been to a lot of places, and seen lots of things. Sightseeing is awesome, lots of temples and shirnes (although they are almost always on huge hills in which you have to climb 50-60 metres to get to), and different prefectures. Each prefecture has something unique about it, like Nara is known for the leaves changing, and Shiga has the Biwa lake - which is like the Rideau Canal since it was totally man made, but of course smaller. Just, man, I wish I could write everything but if I did my hands would fall of or become dead due to carpol tunnel or something. Anyways, I hope you guys are all doing well. How is Japanese class by the way guys? Oh yeah, and I heard The Grudge was pretty good, and I am glad you liked it Robbie - but it is another one of those movies that is based off a Japanese horror. Maybe you have heard of it: Juon - man, those two movies were awesome, I love them. How is work Robbie and Mike, oh, and Josh, is Loeb still the same as usual? Any new supervisors yet or anyone else quit? Oh, and speaking of Josh, how is FOTR? And make sure you set up a day for our awesome heavy deathcore grudge metal pop emo grind rock show for the week that I come back. of course, no rehersal or practice, just total improvisation like we talked about - it's be awesome. So, I will definetly try to update more often and I will see you guys in three months, later. P.S: One last bit of gaming news for Mike - cool Rockman.EXE game for the GBA called Rockman.EXE 4.5 Real Operation. You can basically use any Navi, but it actually has a story to it, and there are lots of tournaments but they are set up by specific days and times, say Saturday at 8:00 a.m. So you actually have to play the game and do the tournament on Saturday at 8:00. Also it makes use of the chip gate, which is pretty cool. It is just meant to give you the feeling of using a real PET. Anyways, it is cool, I'll show it to you when I get back.
Tue, Aug. 31st, 2004, 11:55 am Last one
Guys, this is my last update in this journal while I'm in Canada, because tommorow morning I am off to the land of the rising sun for five and a half months. Just want to say bye, and hope everything goes well for everyone. I don't know how often I will update this due to limited computer time or other stuff, but whenever you do I'll give you guys all the cool shizzle of Japan. Anyways, Later everyone, I will miss you all (Awwww), and I'll see you all in about five and a half months. Exeunt
Sat, Aug. 28th, 2004, 11:10 am POWER GLOVE
Yes, thank you to those at my little party thingy for reminding me of this. If I find a fucking NES Power glove somewhere in Japan I will do this: 1.Shit myself because I would be so shocked 2.Buy it because it's A FUCKIN' POWER GLOVE 3.Make little power up noises when I where it like in the movie The Wizard, speaking of which, I would whoop both those gaming biotches soooooo bad 4.Bring it back and rub it in all your faces because I have a power glove and you don't. I'm not an asshole, I swear to god, but there are certain things that allow me to rub stuff in peoples faces and make them hate me..Such as a power glove. Anyways, I really want to thank everyone who came to my going away party thingy. That was really cool of all of you and I really appreciate it. I shall miss you all. The dinner was fun though, we caused a bit of a rucus I guess and I think the waitresses got a bit annoyed with us, but it was all in good fun. I also got a free ice cream since it was "My Birthday" (of course it wasn't, some people just said it was) and I had a song sung to me and got to wear a silly moose antler hat and get my picture taken. Hehe, in the background, it looks like one of my friends is going to have an alien thing pop out of her mouth, it's really funny. Sorry Mike and Robbie, I didn't talk to you guys about Hero, and I don't know if it's happening. So yeah, just go see it and forget about me *sob, sniff* Holy fuck, four days left. Thankfully there basically isn't anything to do except change some money, add some emails to my camera so I can send random photos to people, and finish packing, etc. I made my lists, and got all my papers and shizzle. I did beat Tales Of Symphonia last week, I wanted to do that before I left, and I did. I didn't finish all of my sidequests, but I can do that some other time, I just wanted to finsh because I wouldn't have had time if I tried to do all the extra stuff. It was good, I really enjoied it. When I come back I really have to catch up on everything though once I get a job and such. Loeb told me they would give me a position once I come back, so that's cool. Anyways, I have to get going. So, later everyone. Exeunt
Thu, Aug. 19th, 2004, 10:04 am Rush
No, I am not going to discuss Megaman's robotic dog (Although Treble would kick the robotic crap out of Rush), I mean it is a time where I must rush. Let's see, first off, the leaving date for Japan is not September 22nd, it is not September 1st. So, I have to get a lot of things done before that much faster then I anticipated. I don't really care, but my dad was sorta "ohhh, to big a jump", Pfft, so, that means a longer stay for me. I am pretty much half done, I have to finalize some stuff with the online courses, sign a sheet for the Exchange, and go to the embassy so they can screw around with my passport and visa documents which are arriving today sometime, hopefully when I am not at work. Wow, that was a run-on sentence. Anyways, speaking of work, I had to spring up the fact that I was leaving on the first, which is barely two-weeks notice, but instead of quitting they are making me resign, so it looks better I guess. So I had to write a letter of resignation, which was easy, and they said that if I go see them when I come back there is no reason why they can't give me a position. It is not guaranteed, but there is a good possibility. So, I said I can only work up until next Saturday, so I wonder how many shifts I will get. Oh yeah, tommorow I have to try to set up an appointment with the Japanese Embassy for my visa documents, and I have to go to the bank so I can take out some money to change into yen, plus get a credit card and hopefully they have one of those dual card things that you can use in Asia. I also have to go buy my digital camera and luggage+new knapsack. I am going to buy this HP camera, it has all the features I want, and seems to have some good quality, but as long as I can use it I am happy. It isn't too expensive either, I think I am going to buy two extra cards, one 258 mb, and the other 128 mb. That should be more then enough space to last me until I get back to Tomoki's place or whereever I can go and download my pictures. Hopefully the online courses doesn't need my counsellor's signature, because he isn't going to be in sometime next week and it would really be cutting it close. Plus, I want to try to get together with some people one last time before I go, it's just going to take a lot of organization after I find out my scheduale this week. I watched Lost In Translation yesterday, such an excellent movie. I liked the ending, because it wasn't like most endings where they end up together and shit. And it just should the differences in culture so well. That is how I am going to be for five months, with the exception of all the crying (hopefully). But yes, excellent movie. And speaking of movies, I still haven't seen almost any of the movies I have wanted to this summer, and now I have no time left. I don't give a shit about time though, because no matter what I am going to see Hero before I leave. I must go see that movie!! Robbie, Mike, you guys up for it? Anyways, I am going to read more pakages about life in Japan and how to speak Japanese, and make sure I know my hira and kana, because I am totally fucked if I don't remember at least those two. Exeunt
Ok, I just needed a subject title, and I always wanted to have a someone striking one or a "what the hell was that?" one. So I chose that, but I think I spelt biotches wrong, so that kind of..lessens the effectiveness of it. Anyways, Did more manga work on Wednesday, got down a pretty good basis. Now I can finally work on the script. I need the main character to have one good catch phrase, so if any of you have any then send them to me and put them in the comments. It'll be like a contest ^.^, whoever has the one best suited for the situation is the one I am going to use, or maybe I will just mix a couple together. It's basically something that he has to be able to use throughout the manga. The first time he says it, is when he is looking up at the top shelf of some electronic store to buy the latest technology thing for some game. He is amazed by it to some extent, but I just need him to say something there that will grab peoples attention. Like a "cooooolllllll" or something, anything like that. it can be funny, simple, out of the ordinary, whatever. Anything you got I'll take into consideration. So, my friend slept over, it was a good time. Watched lots of Naruto and Samurai Champloo. Oh, and we watched some web shows, like College University, and saw some of our favorite flashes like Final Fantasy A+. Soo good. And if anyone is in for a good laugh, check out College University, it is so funny. I have a nice day off today. Maybe I will go to that party..maybe.. Anyways, I am hoping to do something today. Aside from working on the script and reading more of those packages that I have to complete before I leave for Japan. Oh, and Robbie, Mike, why don't we do that Karaoke thing next Saturday? I get off work at 4:00, so it should be cool. Maybe it will finally get Yufei off our back, since we will finally go to "K" *Shakes head* ugh. Anyways, Exeunt
Tue, Aug. 10th, 2004, 07:41 pm Crap.
Man, I totally forgot my pocky at Mike's house on Sunday. Shoot, I had a craving for it today, so I went for my "stash" and BAM! It wasn't there. Fine Mike..Take your free pocky..I'll get you someday. hehe, naw, I don't really care, I wanted to go buy somemore anyways, so enjoy. I just thought I would share that with people, so that if you wanted to raid someone for their pocky..it's Mike
Speaking of Mike, Happy birthday man, hope it is a great one and yuo gots all the goodies that you wanted. Enjoy.
Yes, that's right everyone, I actually got up off my ass on Sunday and did something that I can talk about. I actually hung out with some people *Gasp, shock*. Yeah, so I hung out with Robbie and Mike on Sunday. Good time, just chilled. Watched parts of Going Overboard which is possibly the worst comedy ever made, but so stupid it is funny..Well, some of it. It has Adam Sandler in it, before he knew what comedy was. And we reminisced about many things, like Japanese class and stuff, and we had some Multiplayer action on my Tales of Symphonia, it was pretty sweet. It took about 30 minutes to finally get the whole multiplayer thing understood so that we can actually use the characters we wanted to be, but after that it was good. Too bad the stupid game didn't do any of the little vicotry speech stuff that I wanted to show them, because some are really funny. Robbie drove me home after, hopefully he got back alright. Anyways, this weekend maybe guys? Kill Bill 2 comes out today, which I will purchase later on. Just thought I would remind you all. Yeah, I had the pleasure of working for 14 hours yesterday. I babysat from 7:30 until 3:30, would have been more but I had to leave for work; and from 3:45 until 9:30 of actual work. I mean, thank god the kid likes computer games and stuff, because we just stayed on the computer pretty much all day, or else I wouldn't know how to keep him occupied. And normal work just sucked, it was so boring and plain. Like, I can't even say anything because it was so boring that nothing happened. I gave one of my supervisors medical advice to help the pain of her ear (which is probably an infection) for the night. That's about it. Alright, I am going to go do stuff. Exeunt
The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to the First Level of Hell - Limbo! Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Take the Dante's Inferno Hell TestLevel 1 - Limbo ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad. I don't care, but Limbo - although stuck in between everything, and it's eternal melancholy, I would love to spend time with people such as Cesear and Aristotle, and Virgil. Ah Virgil, the man who leads thee into the pits of hell. Anyways, I wouldn't mind. Sat, Aug. 7th, 2004, 10:22 pm Random
This post is completely at random, because honestly, I thought I would be posting more, but I can't, because nothing really important happens in my life, thus does not enable me to write about anything remotely intelligent, important or thought provoking. So, I will just post about nothing I guess. Congrats to Robbie on getting his job. you'll hate it soon enough, no worries though..jobs mean income. have fun. Ok, I really don't have anything to say, i can't do this. So, i am going to go and make myself busy. Maybe i will finally go and try Peasants Quest. Exeunt
So today was an odd day. First it started off with a call at around 6:15 this morning which stated that my great grandfather had passed away. Thus, the way I am is that once I wake up, there is no way I am going back to sleep, so I was awake, and that was not exactly the way I wanted to wake up either. It sucks, I didn't know him very well, and I must admit, it does not hurt very much, but it still does - Death is eventual and unavoidable - he got sick a few days ago, and most of the family knew he was not going to make it. He lived an eventful life, and I believe he enjoyed it, he taught me some stuff, although it was hard since he lived in Italy until he came here when he was like, 95 years old and couldn't do much. I will miss him, and I am glad I got to spend some time with him while I was in Italy, instead of never getting to know him. Then, two other weird things happened. I printed out this thing for my Japan program, and it had stuff about health insurance, and in the mail there was some sort of advertisement for health insurance. Then, my mother's boss had his kid early this morning, so the "with every death a new life begins" thing really struck here since it acutally happened with people we know. And there was some other thing, I think it was either on the radio or mall, but something about death came up, I don't really remember, but it was weird. Anyways, I went shopping at Bayshore mall with my mother and sister, I was hoping to buy some clothes, but that didn't happen. I'll buy them some other time. I bought 5 Cd's instead - well, 3 were on this "3 for 20" at Music World, and the others caught my eye, so I bought them. I can not believe how far behind I am in my CD's, it is ridiculous. Anyways, I purchased the new album by Sparta "Porcelein", "Too bad you're beautiful" by From Autumn to Ashes (great band), "Smash Hits" - a compilation of The Jimi Hendrix Experience greatest hits, a Led Zeppelin CD, and "Blue Album" from Weezer. That is one great cd, I think it is just their self-titled, but everyone calls it "The Blue Album" since the cover and insert and everything is blue. I also got my new perscription for my glasses. I would have gotten plastic lenses but I went with featherweights, so it cost me $175, well, $157 with some 10% discount my mom had. My mother paid though, it was real nice of her, because I insisted on paying for myself. My sister also bought some new dress for an upcoming wedding, and some socks. My mother didn't buy anything, but I think we are going back soon because she found some stuff she liked. I came home and I watched like ten episodes of Naruto, and holy crap does this computer work well. It's just awesome. I played a bit of Halo as well on it, and once again, awesome. I am really going to enjoy this computer for - as Mike so graciously put it "about a week before it goes out of date" (of course I am paraphrasing a bit). Oh, I booked Sunday and Monday off because we had "family events", but I guess those are not happening. Oh well, things happen, fate decided to play our cards like this, thus we will mold our lives accordingly - or attempt to at least. Bye Bye Great Nonno, it was fun. Oh, before I forget, Robbie, I am looking forward to Utada's English release, I have to download some songs, since i most likely will not be here for it's release, and I forgot to show you that Mythology book, and Kill Bill Vol.2 comes out August 10th. Can't wait for my special call tommorow night, weeee I'm excited ^.^ Exeunt
Thu, Jul. 29th, 2004, 10:04 pm HOLY CRAP!
Yes, I finally have a new computer. On the market, it would cost about $1700 or more, but I got it for $750. I mean, the specifications on it are just awesome. Let's see what I can remember, umm, two 80 GB harddrives, 1 GB of DDR memory, 2.1 Ghz processor, 128 MB DDR External memory, I forget the other stuff, like what kind of Video card and sound card it is, but I know that it is awesome. I finished installing everything I wanted to, and transfering whatever files I wanted to from my old harddrive, and yeah, all that is left to do if search the net for new themes and sounds to put on my Navi. Yeah, I mean, the graphics are unbelievable, and the speed is ridiculous. I was playing Halo (borrowed it from the guy - he is a friend of the family), and I mean, it played so smoothly and it sounded and looked soooooo good. Even watching movies is just, yeah, it's awesome. Oh, and my favorite part, NO LAGGING OR SKIPPING DURING VIDEOS OR ANYTHING, AND NO STUPID BEEPING NOISE FROM THE COMPUTER WHEN WATCHING MOVIES FOR MORE THEN 15 MINUTES. I LOVE IT!!!! Anyways, hung out with Mike on Tuesday, and he left Wednesday around 6:00. We met Downtown, hung out around there, went to Chapters. We were looking for "The Life of Pi" for about 30-45 minutes, then I finally said "I'll ask this guy, it would be pretty funny if the book wasn't here". ...Yeah..Well: Guy: "Oh, that's been discontinued for now, we don't know when we are getting more in" Heh..It wasn't as funny as I thought, but the irony is hilarious. Oh, and we bought this postcard that we are going to send Lianne at camp. It is geometric shapes, in the shape of a penis, which is extremly funny. I finished writing it, so I'll just send it tommorow. We thought she needed some "perking up", HAHAHAH, get it..perking up..ha..haha..*clears throat* Anyways, we got back, got dragged to my sisters soccer game, we talked about Megaman the whole time. then we watched TV for about 7 hours until 4:00 in the morning, but we never got to Cardcaptors..Damn time. Unforetunetly Mike's SP battery ran out, so we never got to trade our shizzle and battle. Then the next day we played Megaman 8 on my MM Anniversary Collection, and just hung out. Damn you Megaman 8 and your stupid snowboarding thing. Yes, it was fun. Speaking of sending things, I am going to send your letter when I recieve and read yours. Speaking of you, I hope you are having hella lots of fun at the party for Premier, IT'S FINALLY OVER!! Now you have a nice month free. Oh, and you could have called yesterday..The guy didn't come until like 9:30, so we would have had like two hours, but yeah. I know your mad, just don't kill me, I promise I'll make it up to you somehow ^.^ Oh, and I got more info for my Japan trip, the ticket is 960 + 120 tax, so $1080, which is actually quite descent for a trip to Japan. From Ottawa, to Toronto, then to Narita Airport in Tokyo. Hopefully everything continues going well and I still go. There is more info, but I just don't feel like putting in on here. Anyways, I am gonna go do other stuff, so...bye. Exeunt
(You're right Robbie, this was pretty cool) *Sigh of relief* Yes, yesterday was my Reach Ahead exam, thus, I have finished and overcome the ordeals of the Three Weeks of Hell. It felt really good, now all I have to do is go in on Monday and see my marks and leave. I don't really care what my mark is anymore, mainly because I found out I don't need it to get into University next year. Now I can focus and making more money, hanging out with friends before I leave, and brushing up on my Japanese, and all the other stuff I have been meaning to get on, like my comic and such. Yes, before I leave, as of now I am leaning towards going; there are many reasons for me to stay here, but I know I am not going to get another chance like this, so I have to go to Japan now. I don't really care what challanges I must face after I come back, I'll overcome them. Lets see, to celebrate (since I couldn't make any plans) I bought Tales of Symphonia for the GC, and it is actually a lot of fun. It's not really challanging within battles and stuff, but you really have to strategize your guys properly and equip the right stuff so you can learn the proper skills and such. There are a lot of cool systems put into one game that affect everything, like, each character has a bar to learn skills, and if it leans more towards the S (slash) side, then you will learn more physical skills, and if it leans towards the T (technical), then you will learn more magic, etc. So you really have to prioritize everything, even equipment, so you learn the right skills for your characters. And the voice acting isn't half bad. Apparantly, Llyod (main character) sounds like me, and this other guy in there named Kratos has this voice that I have heard before in another game...I just can't put my finger on it. Heh, the female lead sounds like you Val. it's just really cool. It made me happy, since I had to delete my MM Aniversary collection data, because it was "corrupted"..I think my sister closed the GC when it was saving, so it fucked everything up. I lost all my data from MM1 - MM7. It pissed me off so much, so now I am just going to play Megaman 8 (which is fucking awesome!, anime scenes, cell shading, 3D, awesome), and then I'll play the rest some other time; I tend to not want to play games after I've worked hard to do so much, and then have it erased. Oh, and at EB near my house they discontinued MM Battle Network 1. I really want it, so I'll have to search around for it. Man, I have to catch up on my hanging out, so these are the people who I have to hang out with that actually read this (I hope): Mike: Man, definetly soon, gots to trade chips, whoop your ass in BN4, play some GC, hang out, whatever. Robbie: Same thing, we don't hang out enough, we really should one day. Oh yeah, me, you, and Mike should go Karaoke-ing again, and hang around Sommerset one day, go back to some of those crazy Chinese-Japanese stores, and go get some Bubble tea...I promise not to spit it on anyone this time, heh. Val: If only... Lianne: Yeah, to bad you are at camp until like, the end of summer, you would have loved to watch the WETA guys talk about the Eva Live Action on my Director's cut DVD. Kina: Too bad we never talk Josh: Dude, when the hell is game night/week gonna happen. We gots to play hella lots of games, and jam, and do lotsa other shit. WHAT THE FUCK MAN! Yeah, that's about it, so soon, definetly. Speaking of the Director's cut. Yes, I bought the first Eva Director's cut, and it was so friken awesome! There is quite a bit more stuff, and it really does leave you with more questions. Plus the sneak peak at the Live Action movie with an interview with the WETA guys was unbelievable. I mean, some of the concept art was just awesome, I just can not wait to see this movie. I am going to buy the second Director's cut today, and my EVA collection will finally be complete ^.^ - Box set, both directors cuts, and both OVA's that officially end the series. Cost me quite a bit, but the anime is so good and so amazing, I would have paid twice as much. it's that fucking good. I swear, anyone who has not seen the EVA series should go and watch it..NOW! Anyways, I have to go to work, so yeah, definetly more updates, and I hope to hang with all of you soon. Exeunt P.S: The music from Megaman III is the absolute best of all the games! The intro is so good, I want to cover it..It actually wouldn't be that hard...But yeah, it's flippin' awesome.
The next three weeks are going to be so shitty, well, including this week, so the next two weeks are gonna to suck big. Why you ask? Because Reach-Ahead is a pain in the ass, it's boring, and it drains you. I mean, thankfully I read a lot so the amount of reading we get isn't much for me, but still is a lot. I mean, we read Hamlet in three days, then had a test on Friday that took like two and a half hours because there was an essay, a news article to write about an event in the play, plus paraphrasing a soliloquy that was two pages long. And then there were easy matching and fill in the blanks, but it was like a mini exam. Plus one night we had to answer 27 questions on Hamlet, and Tommorow I have a presentation and an essay due for Hamlet, plus have over 100 pages read of our novel study: 5th Business. I mean, that is insane. Technically, each day is six a half classes of that course. You want to kill yourself, I swear to god, and you get two 5 minute breaks; you have enough time to piss, not even a long piss either. And you get only 30 minutes for lunch. It's fine for me, but it actually isn't much. Oh well, at least there are upsides to the next couple of weeks. I mean, I went to George Thorogood at Bluesfest on Friday night. That was such an awesome concert, he can make that guitar sing man. I mean his solos are awesome and he plays it beautifully, not actually making it sing. There was a lot of alcohol going around, and lots of cigarettes, not as much weed as I expected though. When I walked out it felt like I had cancer there was so much smoke. Heh, it was funny seeing all these old 80's rockers looking all professional because they have jobs and stuff now. And Tuesday I am going to go to Unearth at Capitol City Music Hall, which is going to be such a friken awesome show. There are going to be so many mosh and slam dancing pits, it is going to be insane. Unfortunately, I couldn't go see the Tragically Hip yesterday night because my dad was being stupid, and was like "Oh, well, since your friend isn't going, you can't go either". That really sucked, because they are so good, but they will probably come back next year. But it was the second year I missed them, and I hate the fact that my father would still tell me stuff like that. I was going to go see Experiment in Terror and ...as the Poets affirm for that benefit show that night too, since I couldn't go see The Hip, yet my father told me the same thing. Sucks. But I compensated by having my friend over whom I haven't seen in a long time so we could catch up on things. Oh, and I also beat Megaman Battle Network 4:Red Sun. My statistics were: Completion time: 25:34 Chips: Standard: 91, Mega: 0, Giga: 1, Secrets: 1 Souls: Gutsoul, Rollsoul, Thundersoul The last boss was sort of annoying, because some of his attacks you just can't avoid, and you couldn't really tell if he was in the second or thrid row, so jugding attacks was difficult sometimes. I started Hard mode of course, but it doesn't seem much harder..yet. Hmm, wonder which Souls I am going to get now. Oh and I have also beaten the first 6 Megaman games on my collection. It doesn't take long to beat one, but fun none the less. Ok, that has basically been my life, so, yeah. Exeunt
Wed, Jun. 30th, 2004, 09:59 pm Megaman!!
Yes, so I purchased Megaman Anniversary Collection for the GC and Megaman Battle Network 4: Red Sun. I decided to buy the Anniversary collection for GC because I felt that since all Megaman games were released on Nintendo systems, it would only be respectful if I bought the anniversary collection on a Nintendo system. Plus, I expected the controller and stuff to be easier to use on a Gamecube then a Playstation. I have already beaten Megaman and Megaman IV, but I think my sister screwed something up. She started playing Megaman 4 after I finished playing one day, but I wasn't done Megaman I yet, so she started playing, and I didn't expect anything to be wrong. You know, you die, it saves automatically, etc etc, no big deal. But when I went to go load up my game, I couldn't access any other Megaman games, only 1 and 4. Since I beat 1, I wanted to play 2, but I couldn't. So I thought "Ok, maybe it only lets you select two at a time", so I beat 4, and then it saved, etc. Then, I went back to the game selection screen, and I still can't access any other games. So, I don't know if my sister screwed something up, or there is some weird bug, or if I have to do something. Either way, it is sort of pissing me off, so I am going to try to find how to fix it tommorow. I checked the game manual and FAQ's online, and it didn't mention anything. But, Red Sun is a lot of fun. I've only played it a bit, but so far it is pretty normal, same battle system, sort of. I mean, now you have the Emotion Window and Full Synchro, plus Soul Unisons, and you can't get bug frags from killing enemies with a counter, counters give you Full Synchro. But, there are mystery data's in random battles, and if they don't get hit, you get the treasure, so far I have only gotten money (mainly 2000 zenny), and bug frags. The graphics have been refined just a little bit, so stuff looks slightly better, and the little picture faces that come up when people talk have changed, they look better. But, let's see how good it gets when i get more into it..Apparantly it is pretty long and vast. Oh, I also purchased Hoshi no Koe/Voices from a Distant Star. It is a an anime movie by Makoto Shinkai. It is very very good, I like the animation and the mix of 3D CG and normal artwork, the story is great. It is sad though, but still very good, and it is only 30 minutes, well..75 with all the extra DVD stuff. Basically it is about these two middle school students who were great friends, and loved each other, and were supposed to go to the same High school together, but then the girl (Mikako), was drafted to be a battle pilot for the U.N in space, because they are going to research this new alien species that attacked Mars. It is based about 30 years in the future, but the technology is like, 100 years in the future. So basically, they can only communicate by email through their cell phones, but as she goes further into space, the time it takes for the guy to recieve her mail goes from 8 months, to 1 and a half years, to 8 years, etc. So, as he ages, she stays, well, looks the same age, but I guess she would stay the same age or age very little due to light-years, and time compressions or whatever you want to call it. Yeah, it is a very sad movie, that was just the jist of it, but everyone should watch it. I mean, it is only 30 minutes, so it's not like if you hate it it will kill you to sit through it; if you don't like it, it is like watching a bad episode of something. And it also has his first short animation, which is 5 minutes long (that is the whole thing). It is also pretty cool, it is about a girl and her cat, and it is from the cat's perspective, and like, yeah, it is hard to explain, but it is cool. Anyways, I have to get going, so I'll update another time. Exeunt
Sat, Jun. 26th, 2004, 02:50 pm Bye Bye
Today was an important day in my life, t'was the day that Tomoki leaves for Japan once again after staying with me for ten months. I am actually quite sad, like, it really hit me hard. It was like losing a brother, because we basically spent all our time together. I mean, I am not the most social person, I only go out to go to work and school really, so when I am not doing that, we were together, or we would go somewhere together. I think there were only about five times in which we didn't hang out together. We became very close. So, this morning was pretty hard to see him go, actually, what was even harder was helping him pack during the week and cleaning up my room and the basement today. It's just so empty. It is now my room again, not our, which is a concept I am still getting used to. Like, I took out all the useless sheets of paper, boxes, I put away all the stuff he couldn't take back with him in two boxes so I can mail them. Heh, that is going to be fun, because I have to write the address and everything in Japanese, and I have never seen the kangi before, so I'm scared I might screw up. But, yeah, once everything was put away, and organized (it was still sort of messy from packing everything), it was just empty. Even driving home with the family after dropping him off, it was very tense and just, not the same. I said to my family that we are back to our normal family of four, but really..It's not the same, because Tomoki is like the fifth member, and now he is gone, so everything isn't the same, it is completely different. Although I am most likely seeing him again in September, if I don't, then it is going to be a very long time, and for my family it will be even longer. Well, right now he is probably in Vancouver boarding the flight to Narita Airport, but wherever he is, I must thank him. I have learned a lot from him, and even though I am going in September, I still got a firm idea of what Japanese culture is like, and I have had a great experience, and made a great friend. So, Thanks Tomoki, it will never be the same without you.. Ja ne
